Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is great American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing around 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he's got began exclusively in the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Honor, an Olympic gold medal, and led a National basketball association on assists three times and steals six times. He's already been selected to seven NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive clubs.

Paul is a McDonald's All-American in high school. He joined Wake Forest University for just two years of university basketball when he assisted the Demon Deacons obtain their 1st ever number one position. He has been selected 4th total on the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded with the Clippers in 2011.

At December 8, 2011, the Hornets accepted a three-team deal sending Paul for the Los Angeles Lakers. A NBA, which owned the team during the time, nullified the offer, along with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans are the best off holding Paul.The teams taking part in the trade tried out to lobby the league to reverse its ruling and reconstruct the deal does not help.On December 12, the Hornets accepted a trade sending Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers, even so the deal broke down once the NBA added further demands to the original conditions. 2 days further, the teams finally formed the deal, transferring Paul and 2 future 2nd round draft picks for the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick within the 2012 draft. After the deal's completion, Paul declared which he could opt in the final year for his contract and stay for Los Angeles for at least 2 more years.
